This architectural dining set embodies the fusion of sculptural form and industrial strength. The chairs feature a chrome metal structure, with black leather seats and backs. The seats are mounted on springs. Sigma created this type of chair in two versions: one with crossbars on the seat and back and a larger frame, and this version with only crossbars under the seat and a 4 cm wide frame. The table has a brown smoked glass top and is extendable on one side. The chairs and table are in good condition. The leather is beautifully patinated but firm, the table top has no chips and only a few very light scratches. Sigma Furniture was founded in 1963 by Rufin Dedoncker. They were introduced to the American market in the early 80s. They had an in-house design team and collaborated with Belgian designers Frank De Clercq and Fons Siaens. Table: L: 180-230 cm W: 94 cm H: 74.5 cm. Chairs (6 pieces): H: 75 cm W: 52 cm D: 46 cm.
